On Tuesday, April 22 there shall be a staged reading of a sitcom pilot, nay, 2 pilots I have written. It shall occur at The Public House Theater at 7:30 p.m.
I won't give you the loglines so that I can get some solid feedback (and surprise) on how they unfold, but here are the names.
(1) Beverly Hills Charter High School
(2) First Church of Darren
I cannot tell you how supportive of me the good folk are there. I can, actually, but I will only do so at their bar. Some of your favorite Chicago comedians will be reading, so maybe think about coming, eh?
_Thanks for visiting, person!
Please watch PED CROSSING!
Comedian Paul Thomas’s satiric mind emerged from the pandemic unbowed, leading to Intimate and Appropriate, an incisive collection of scenes steeped in the selfie-righteousness of a country that has lost its mind. With grounded characters and the logic of an ancient Midwestern philosopher, Thomas delicately stomps through the “mine” field of identity, language, and recycle bins, putting a hall of mirrors up to a narcisstocracy that kinda seems to wanna offend itself.
