Read The Onion A.V. Club feature on Ped Crossing

Ped Crossing is a comedy web series that follows a pedophile.  Yep. Written and directed by comedian Paul Thomas and featuring over 20 Chicago stand-up and sketch comedians,  Ped Crossing ups the ante on America’s love affair with antiheroes.  The 11-episode series has a continuing storyline that focuses on a pedophile named Byron, played by Thomas, as he struggles with drama-inducers like job hunting, car buying, and roommate trouble, all along trying to impress a world-wise kid he refers to as Kanye West.

With only a budget for mustaches and microphones, Ped Crossing was produced, shot, and edited by Chad Wilson, a frequent collaborator of Thomas. Some of their work has screened at the Just for Laugh Festivals in Montreal and Chicago, the LA Comedy Shorts, and the Chicago Comedy Film Festival.  Watch the trailer and fall in love.  Ped Crossing was featured by The Onion A.V. Club. Read HERE.

Mop Men - Extra

Here's a "DVD extra" of Mop Men, a show within the Ped Crossing show.  This features Mark Raterman, the best straight man in Chicago---now Los Angeles, dare I say.
Picture
Comedian Paul Thomas’s satiric mind emerged from the pandemic unbowed, leading to Intimate and Appropriate, an incisive collection of scenes steeped in the selfie-righteousness of a country that has lost its mind. With grounded characters and the logic of an ancient Midwestern philosopher, Thomas delicately stomps through the “mine” field of identity, language, and recycle bins, putting a hall of mirrors up to a narcisstocracy that kinda seems to wanna offend itself.
