SKETCH COMEDY - PILOT
Sit For Glory is an upscale men’s magazine of a sketch show. For the man who wants to live a fuller, more cultivated, and rewarding life, this collection of cultured scenes and fashionable commercials serves as a guide to drinking more seductively, conversing more expensively, guaranteeing more repeat sexual encounters, and creating an overall more robust essence.
WEB SERIES
Ped Crossing is a web series that follows a pedophile. Written and directed by comedian Paul Thomas, Ped Crossing ups the ante on America’s love affair with antiheroes. The 11-episode series has a continuing storyline that focuses on a ped named Byron, played by Thomas, as he struggles with drama-inducers like job hunting, car buying, and roommate trouble, all along trying to impress a world-wise kid he refers to as Kanye West.
Ped Crossing was featured by The Onion A.V. Club.

SOLO SKETCH
"When it comes to portraying a smorgasbord of freaks, perverts and social pariahs, nobody does it better than Paul Thomas, the man behind Paul Thomas: Comedogenic. His laser-like attention to character work results in compelling scenework that is hilarious (and kinda disturbing)."
-- Jason Heidemann, Time Out Chicago "...their mix of absurdity and plausibility makes all of [Thomas's sketches] funny." (4 stars) -- Time Out New York "Thomas bestows clever writing and supreme character commitment on each scene.” -- Steve Heisler, Chicago Reader |

Press for Paul’s post-grunge acoustic rock group LOLA BALATRO
"The music stands on its own, but songs such as 'Name That Panda' and 'I Got 2 Black Friends' will make it clear it's a comedy show." -- Time Out Chicago "It’s surprising to hear the three bad-ass looking dudes from Lola Balatro harmonizing to melodic acoustic-guitar arrangements on their self-titled debut. Even more surprising is that they’re pretty funny." -- Illinois Entertainer "...the musical hooks are so dangerously catchy, you may wonder how you lived without them." -- Trib Local (Wilmette) |
