May shows + Lola Balatro music 04/28/2012
Here is your May agenda if you're stalking me: 5/11 Lola Balatro opening for "Why The Long Facebook?" Stage 773. 10pm. $15 5/15 Stand-up at Hug City. 9pm. Racine Plumbing Bar. 2642 N. Lincoln. FREE! 5/22 Stand-up at Chicago Underground Comedy. 9:30 pm. Beat Kitchen 2100 W. Belmont. $5 Grab a beer and listen to all these Lola Balatro tunes, wouldja? Couple deep tracks you might not know. Some I used in Ped Crossing. "Access (To Your Heart)" and "Basement Head" are the best musically and lyrically, I think, but we basically never play them live because I guess they're too subtle? Maybe that's why I like them more...Also notice how different each of the guitar solos are... Safe to say Cork can play real good. Did I mention it's on iTunes? It's on iTunes. Chicago-folk, Friday, April 13 we'll be screening the PED CROSSING series, along with the 12 minute finale at (where else?) The Playground Theater . The night starts with some stand-up comedy from some great comedians, Adam Burke and Junior Stopka, who can also be seen in the finale. $10, BYOB. 3209 N. Halsted. Fun to be shared. The finale will go online April 17. |
